Building Empathy by Joe Anson
Almost actively involved in
improving the teaching of
reading and writing through
teacher training, Joe Anson
made the transition to full-time
teacher education professor in
2018 after more than eighteen years attempting to
teach junior high and high school students the
nuances of the English language through writing
and literature. When he is not trying to improve the
face of education one student at a time, he enjoys
sports of all varieties, writing, reading, cooking,
hanging out with his kids, taking his wonderful wife
out on dates, listening to music, and finding (and
playing with) cool, new words. His favorite word at
the moment is “quixotic.”
